The first thing we tried was a plate of Pig Neck, which was offered by a waitress walking around with the dish. The pig neck was very nice and tender as it wasn't too salty, dry or fatty. It may look similar to barbecued pork (cha siu) but it tastes a lot better.
This is one of my must-order items at dim sum: Steamed Beef Omasum with Ginger and Green Onion.
I also chose the Steamed Spareribs with Black Bean Sauce to try and found that they were a bit fatty but the dish wasn't bad.
The star of the meal was definitely the Steamed Shiu Mai Dumpling. The picture does not do this dish justice because the dumplings were massive in size and packed with meat and shrimp.
We also ordered another dim sum favorite, the Steamed Prawn Dumpling. No complaints here.
Here we have the Steamed Shanghai Style Pork Dumplings or siu long bao.
Like its name suggests, the Supreme Seafood Dumpling were very large and full of shrimp. When we got this, I realized that we could have opted to order another round of prawn dumplings instead because they were pretty much the same thing.
Last of all, we ordered the Steamed Golden Custard Buns with Egg Yolk. These were a disappointment as the filling was not sweet enough and extremely gritty. I did not enjoy these at all because it was like eating sand.
