My boyfriend ordered the #24 Lemongrass pork chop, shredded on rice for $10.50. The pork chop was a bit lacking in lemongrass flavour, but that was easily fixed by dipping the meat in the accompanying fish sauce. On the plus side, the meat wasn't too dry or tough. My boyfriend thought that the dish was on the pricier side for the quantity of meat he got, as there was an imbalanced ratio of rice to pork chop.
I decided to order the #1 Special Pho in a size large for $8.25. The assortment of meat included rare beef, tripe, flank and beef balls. The bowl of noodles left me pretty full at the end of the meal and they didn't skimp on the meat.
So our total came to ~$18 after a 10% discount for its grand opening. Overall, based on our first meal here, I would give Pho Real an average-good rating. The food was decent but not necessarily spectacular. However, I will most likely be returning since it is so close in the neighbourhood for me.
