Cho Sun

Cho Sun is a Korean restaurant that I have frequented often since high school. Two of my favorite dishes here are the jampong (spicy seafood noodles) and bibim naengmyeon (spicy cold noodles). The former comprises of Korean ramen type of noodles while the later consists of thin noodles made from buckwheat (most commonly).

Isami Sushi

Isami Sushi is an authentic Japanese restaurant hidden along Kingsway, near Metrotown. The restaurant is surprisingly large and was quite empty when we first entered. As our meal progressed, however, the place began to fill up steadily.

Tai Won

Tai Won is a small Korean restaurant located across Metrotown. The place is run by a husband and wife duo; the wife is Korean and the husband is Chinese and also the cook. The menu here consists of less than ten items but any of their dishes are a hit.

Asakusa Sushi

Asakusa Sushi is yet another Japanese restaurant situated on the same strip along Kingsway as the better known restaurant, Sushi Garden. Personally, I would say that Asakusa is similar to but also a step up from Samurai Sushi. The portions here are quite large, even for the specialty rolls.

The One

This Taiwanese restaurant was introduced to me by my sister who seems to always have good food recommendations (eg. Deer Garden - review here). My first time at The One was two years ago, back when it had only been newly opened for almost half a year. I had ordered the Thai Hot Pot and was super impressed by its massive size AND it tasted great! Since then, I've been at The One a handful of times but only took pictures on two occasions.

Cattle Cafe (Kingsway)

My boyfriend and I decided to check out Cattle Cafe on Kingsway for a quick dinner one night. This is a newly opened location that replaced a Korean restaurant and it is the third Cattle Cafe location out of the two already  in Burnaby and Richmond. Similar to the Burnaby location, this restaurant has a non-existent waiting space for customers. However, since this place is new, we did not have to wait forever for a table (like we would have had to at the Burnaby location), despite arriving at the restaurant at around 8 PM.
