Mimibuloveme

Mimibuloveme is a small eatery near Oakridge mall that specializes in parfaits, with the addition of other items on their menu including crepes and pastas. I came here with a friend on a hot and sunny day during the week, expecting the place to be open at 1PM in the afternoon but we had the unfortunate realization that the hours posted on their website (12PM-12AM) was in fact wrong. Since we really wanted our parfaits, we decided to shop around at Oakridge first and then return when it was 3PM and hopefully open this time, in accordance with the hours on Urbanspoon.

Waffle Gone Wild

Waffle Gone Wild is a tiny cafe that serves freshly made Belgium waffles of two varieties, either sweet or savory, as well as an array of drinks including bubble tea. The best part is that you can order online through their website (www.wafflegonewild.com) to minimize the wait time.

Pearl Castle

After our dinner at Haroo (review here), we decided to cool off with dessert at Pearl Castle since it was such a hot day. My taxi driver Hubert ordered an almond milk tea while my boyfriend and I shared a bowl of shaved ice.

Capstone Fondue (Robson)

One random night last year, I spontaneously came across and bought a groupon for High Tea for two at Capstone Tea & Fondue. It wasn't until recently that my boyfriend and I ventured out to Robson to finally make use of the groupon. Upon our arrival, it was packed with a line up so we had to wait, despite making reservations. When we were seated, I informed our waitress of the groupon I had, which includes
"two cheese-fondue dips with assorted veggies, pastries, and bread; two chocolate-fondue dips with assorted fresh seasonal fruits, pastries, and tea cookies; and two cups of house-blend tea"

Capstone Tea & Fondue (Richmond)

I came here with my friends for dessert one day, after a meal at Tropika (review here). I've been to the downtown location a couple years ago and although I liked it, I never went back for fondue again since then. This location of Capstone seems quiet and the decor was clean and simple, making it an ideal place to hangout with friends.
