We decided to play it safe and ordered two boats between the five of us. Both were $50 and came with sunomono, miso soup, fruit and ice cream for dessert. The first boat was the Seto Sushi Boat, which consisted of california roll, assorted tempura, salmon and tuna sashimi and raw oysters. Everything was good but nothing special.
The Family Boat was my preferred choice between the two. This boat included a house roll, chicken karaage, assorted tempura, gyoza and salmon teriyaki. I really enjoyed the chicken karaage the most because it was crispy while retaining its juiciness inside. The salmon teriyaki was pretty good as well as it was fried and dosed with teriyaki sauce.
We also ordered a third dish but it was just your average Chopped Scallop Roll (not pictured).
Our yummy ice cream at the end of our meal! We had the choice of matcha green tea or mango.
All in all, we enjoyed our meal at Seto but we left feeling not fully satisfied because the food we had was pretty standard fare. Compared to my friend's raved reviews, I felt that our experience was more on the underwhelming side. In retrospect, it isn't surprising since we didn't order anything very adventurous. I think next time, we will have to try different dishes, even if they are pricier, in order to get a better judgement of this restaurant.
