La Mezcaleria

La Mezcaleria is the highly rated sister restaurant of the equally popular La Taqueria Taco Shop. I came here along with a friend for a bite to eat, and being unfamiliar with Mexican food, I decided to stick with what I knew and ordered 4 tacos for $11.50.

Tatsu Japanese Bistro

Commercial Drive is home to many popular eateries, and when it comes to Japanese food, Kishimoto has been the recent buzz. Another Japanese restaurant worth mentioning, however, would be Tatsu Japanese Bistro. This place boasts of fusion Japanese dishes and similar to Kishimoto, the food is not only a treat for your bellies but a feast for the eyes as well.

Merchant's Oyster Bar

Finally back from a long hiatus and ready to purge the reviews that have been sitting as drafts for the past couple of months. So first up, Merchant's Oyster Bar on the Drive.

Kishimoto Japanese Kitchen & Sushi Bar

Kishimoto is a wildly popular Japanese restaurant on the Drive and is easily identified by their signature presentation. This place does not take reservations and operates on a first come first serve basis, similar to Sushi Garden and the like. I came here on a Friday evening, expecting a long wait and boy, was I right. The popularity of the restaurant coupled with its small seating capacity meant an hour long wait for a table.
