First up, the Refresh Roll ($4). I am not a complete cilantro hater but with a leaf just plopped on top of the roll, it just doesn't do much for me. The roll also has tuna with a lemon mustard sauce.
Here we have the Creation Combo ($7.50), which consists of 4 half rolls that change daily. From what I can remember, the two rolls are the left are the Red Hot Tuna Roll with tuna, red pepper, cucumber and chili sauce and the Sunrise Roll with salmon, avocado and cream cheese. Unfortunately, I don't recall what the ones are the right are but in any case, they were all pretty basic and average in taste.
Lastly, we have the Volcano Roll ($4.25) with salmon, red onion, avocado and a dollop of spicy mayo. Surprisingly enough, the red onion really adds some extra oomph to make roll pretty tasty.
It might be important to note that the rice that they used here, at least on this day, seemed a bit off because it reminded me of broken rice that you find in Vietnamese cuisine. Kinda weird but okay.
Tokiwa Sushi isn't exactly a place I would absolutely rave about to friends based off of my one experience here. However, they do seem to occasionally come out with different creative rolls so if you're looking for a sushi place that does their rolls a bit differently, why not check this place out.
